Yesterday, the Columbia Journalism Review published a thoughtful analysis of how the media is covering the new global maternal mortality estimates published in the Lancet on Monday. The piece provides a general overview of “who is saying what”–and also criticizes several of the major media outlets’ coverage of the story, calling it “simple, narrowly focused reporting.”
