Applications Are Now Open for the Maternal Health Young Professionals (MHYP) India Mentoring Program

The MHTF is partnering with St. John’s Medical College & Research Institute, Bangalore to offer a mentoring program for young maternal health professionals in India. The program, now accepting applications, will offer a chance to combine professional development and mentoring with experience implementing an innovative research project focused on improving quality of care (technical or interpersonal) to improve maternal health.  The fellowship is open to professionals working across a range of clinical, research and health programming specialties in India.

From the fellowship announcement:

8 candidates will be selected based on:

–  The innovation of a Maternal Health Project proposal, and the feasibility of implementing it in a 6 – 9 month period

– Academic credentials, achievements and potential of the applicant, in addition to institutional support from the candidate’s host institution;

To be considered, candidates should be under the age of 40 (although consideration will also be given women and disadvantaged persons up to age 45) and have been working in their current institution for at least one year.
