Youth Partnership for Peace and Development

Youth Partnership for Peace and Development (YPPD) is a voluntary and non-profit youth-led development organization working in partnership to bring sustainable solutions to some of society’s growing challenges. Operating for the past ten years, the organization is staffed by young, proactive youth who believe development does not lie in the hands of the elderly alone but also in those of the youth. The overarching aspiration of YPPD is to support youth-led development, conflict resolution, stability and good governance, and most importantly inclusion and active participation of marginalized groups. YPPD works to increase the capacity of vulnerable groups through training, partnership, advocacy, enhancing youth knowledge base and equipping them with skills that will help bring about meaningful changes within the communities they live. It is a platform for diverse kinds of actions committed to ending poverty and social injustice. Our work in sexual and reproductive health rights is to build capacities of communities and at the same time advocating to influence policies in realizing rights for sexual and reproductive health.
